Our Origin Story

The idea for Parallel45Wines was born over a bottle of champagne in Champagne, where founders Payal Vora and Mayukh Singh found themselves captivated by both the wine and the winemaker's story.

Payal, a scientist and engineer with a passion for wine since college, had earned her WSET Level 3. Mayukh, a tech executive with 20 years of scaling global platforms, followed with his WSET Level 3 recently. When they shared their vision with Sukhjit Parihar—a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years founding startups—he immediately saw the potential.

Together, they created Parallel45Wines as both their graduate school in wine and a bridge connecting exceptional artisans with global markets. As CEO, Payal guides strategy with scientific precision and wine expertise. Mayukh, as COO, builds the operational systems that scale internationally. Sukhjit, as Chief of Customer Success, ensures every relationship reflects their commitment to exceptional experiences.

"We wanted to learn by doing," explains Payal. "Every producer we work with teaches us something new about their craft, their land, their philosophy."

"And we realized that our backgrounds gave us a unique perspective," adds Mayukh. "We could build systems and relationships that truly serve both the artisans creating these wines and the people who appreciate them."

Named after the 45th parallel north—a latitude that runs through many of the world's most celebrated wine regions—Parallel45Wines represents the convergence of passion, expertise, and global connection.
